I babysit, two boys, 8 and 10. I walk to the house after school. They are always there a few minutes before me (they ride the bus).

So, out of the SEVEN months ive been babysitting for them, I've only arrived late twice. 3, maybe

The 1st time, my 9th period teacher held me back about work i'd missed, so i was perhaps 3 minutes late. Not Long. The kids were worried, so they called their grandma. When i arrived, they called her back and said everything was ok. I was forgiven.

2.There was a long time between this one and the last. I was on my way when i forgot a school project. I had barely even started walking so i was only 5 minutes late. didnt have fone # when i got there, grandma was called. they let her come this time. She stayed, and had me walk home.

3 was the week after I arrived normal time, but the child said i was late. checked my phone, not late. their clock was 10 minutes ahead. parents r going to have a "talk" with me, my friend told me, she babysits them 2. Wut do i d

my son has a babysitter who is late sometimes. when my hubs and i talked to her, we didnt fire her or anything we just told her to try to be on time from now on. our situation was different than yours, but u should listen until they are finished, then tell ur side of the story. if they dont listen or understand, screw 'em. find new kids to babysit

Listen to what the parents have to say and explain to them just like you did here, ask them what they recommend you do if your going to be a few minutes late. If you have a cell phone, make sure you have the number to be able to call them and let them know you are running a few minutes late so they don't get worried

I would give my 2 weeks notice and say, "This is a great service I do for you, but you are not allowing me reasonable time to get here after school, that is your problem-not mine, I have responsibilities, too, and school comes first, so you will have to make other arrangements because this is my 2 weeks notice. Summer is coming up and there are many new babysitting opportunities out there for me and I can make alot more money and be treated with respect.

Everybody with children needs a babysitter. It would probably take the mom's WHOLE paycheck to pay for day care which runs around $800.00 a month (each child) at the least...do you make that much?

When you accept ANY job you are promising to be there when those who hire you need you to be there. If you can't be there on time because of school then you need to quit the job and take care of your school work.

Second late period and 4 neg hpt help!?

Last month I had a late period and it was heavy at first then became really light a few hours later. This month I am late again its only the second day but on the first day when I wiped there was a TINY amount on the toilet paper. I am having on and off headaches, really bad lower back pain, right lower pelvis sometimes gets a sharp pain and I sometimes go to bed feeling dizzy or woozy. I noticed last night a lot of discharge when I wiped and it was white. I didnt notice a smell or anythig. No pain when I urinate and no puss.

Ive taken 4 hpt all negative, I would be about 6-7 weeks if I were, could I be pregnant or are the chances slim? Could this be an ovarian cyst, STI or some infection?

I am on birth control and I took it at the same time everyday.This is the second late period since we had sex.

Well i don't know what it is but your not pregnant. Infact check the effects of your birth control i don't know which one you are using but they all have "side effects". The uneven period is most likely from the pill and the discharge could be natural or a side effect. Just read the labels and do a lil research into your pill it may anwser your question (pain I would guess is probably almost 100% from the pill since they do tend to cause discomfort sometimes)

If you have 2 missed periods that probably means you are pregnant. Go to your local drug store and buy a pregnancy test.
it could be a cyst and if you dont take of that soon then you might have to have it taken out. That happend to my mom when she was 22 and she wasnt able to have anymore kids. Get it checked.
You should get to your doctor and play on the safe side.. If you are having unprotected sex.. ie:not a condom.. you could have many different types of infections.

discharge is ALWAYS a sign of something going on.

As for the pain, your body is trying to tell you something, hoping it is not pregnancy and wishing it will go away are not enough and you should get checked to be on the safe side.

Don't drive yourself crazy wondering when a doctor can sooth your mind and give you an answer.
If I were having these symptoms I would be concerned about the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy. The hormone levels don't always get high enough to register on the HPT; you need a blood test.

Ectopics are serious and can be life-threatening if not treated; not to freak you out, but it is something I (and I *almost never*go to the doctor) would go to my GYN for.

Alright my husband and are have been living in out apartment for about 8 mths now. We have never been late on rent. Rent is considered late on the 3rd. $50.00 late fee added pluse our rent goes up to the normally price of 520(rented when a special was going on). This is what they told him. However the are friedns in the building next to us got an extended date for 10 days!Because they talked to a different person. We told her it would only be one day late. And she was rude and would not listen at all. What can i do, it cant be right that they allow on tenants a grace but not another tenants.

There's nothing you can do, except try talking with them again.

Unfortunately, landlords can go on a tenant by tenant basis, and the same rules don't always have to apply.
If it in you rental contract then it is binding if not you can fight it
Read your contract and take it to the Marshall if you have a problem since he's the one that will evict you when you get kicked out for paying late every month.

Pay your rent two weeks in advance to avoid this problem altogether. Make the 1st half payment at the beginning of the month that is due for the following month. Paying ahead is the best way to avoid paying late. Stop making excuses not to pay early you lazy a**!
are you discriminating against your landlord by paying other bill first?? its the same thing, diff ppl have diff guidelines, just as you dont pay the cable the same time you pay for your electricity....its all diff....you dont pay any other bills, and you cant pay your rent?? how does your computer run?? solar energy?? even if electricity is included in rent, im sure they dont include whatever provider you have for internet service, something is sounding a bit fishy to me here, little missy!!!...maybe instead of wasting company time, and electricity by playing on the computer, you should get back to work...make some money....i know this sounds mean, but its reality...we all deal with it on a daily basis
Can you not write them a check? It won't go through for a couple days. At least two. If you'll have the money in the bank, you don't have to worry about it. Or go to a pay advance place. Get the money for the rent and pay it back as soon as you get paid. Some places just won't work with you. No matter how reliable you've been with payments in the past.

There really are a lot of cruel comments on here. I guess you all have the luxury of not having to live paycheck to paycheck. She's not saying she can't pay her rent, but that the funds won't be available until the 4th. She didn't ask for bashing, she asked for some sound advice.

You should get this checked out by an OB/GYN doctor. I too had problems with my periods at your age. I don't want to scare you, but I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) when I was 21. The doctors said I ran out of eggs. Have you had any hot flashes?

Late ovulation and HPT? Please please please help!!!?

i have been tracking ovulation via cervical mucous checks and OPK's. i had what i thought was surge on cycle day 20. we had sex every other day from cycle days 13-17 and again on the day of what i thought was my surge, as well as the day after. i did not have very much ewcm or alot of any cm at that point.

however, this past wednesday i started feeling slightly tender breasts, gassiness, and soreness and pain like i usually have with ovulation also a lot of ewcm. i couldn't believe it because i thought i had already ovulated but tested with an OPK just in case. Lo and behold it was a very definite positive for my surge!!! and this was 10 days later on cycle 29!!! so me and hubby got right to "work" the day of the surge and day after.

i don't understand why i had what appeared to be 2 surges this month... and why i am ovulating soooo late. are my chances for conceiving lower because of the late ovulation? should i expect my period or to test with a HPT 2 weeks from day 29? confused

you didn't say how long your cycle normally is. you could be having an odd cycle. you could have had a surge in LH then your ovary decided not to release the egg just yet, then tried again. or, a shot in the dark, you could possibly be pregnant. this site, peeonastick.com talks about opks as hpts. http://www.peeonastick.com/opkhpt.html

i'm not too sure about the OPKs at HPTs thing. i don't think its really reliable. what i can tell you is my friend came off BC, her cycle was all over the place, just like you said yours is, but they did manage to conceive in 4 months by using OPKs. she was 35, if age may be a factor for you.

wait a bit and take another test. i actually had a late ovulation this month too, CD 18. and if you can't resist testing, try Dollar Tree store tests. I hear they're very accurate and cheap! best of luck to you!

10 days late, 3 negative pregnancy tests, could I still be pregnant?

Ok, so my cycles are always 43 days apart. Every 43rd day I start my period... well day 43 was 10 days ago. 2 days late I took an EPT hpt, BFN, than when I was 5 days late tested, BFN... 8 days late tested BFN. So now I am 10 days late and I havent tested... but Im wondering if there is a chance that I could still be pregnant? Ive been sick to my stomach, NO sex drive, headaches, backaches, and slight spotting. Anyone had this happen to them and still get a positive prengnacy result?

My cycle was always usually around 28 days. My last period was on January 26th. February 23rd no period. I took a test March 8th, negative. Still nothing by March 18th so I tested again, still negative. By April I was shocked still nothing! I took another test on April 12th %26amp; it came out postive. My doctor's appt. confirmed I was 10 weeks on the 27th of April. So I conceived @ Feb 23rd. So keep testing. If you still get no results I would make a dr. appt to get a blood test done.

I would think that you could still be pregnant and maybe your hormone levels are not high enough for the tests to read. I would suggest that you go to your doctor and ask for a blood test. Good luck!
The stress you are under is probably the reason you are late.

Given the 3 negative tests, you probably are NOT pregnant. I would see your doctor ASAP to diagnose the reason for you not having a period.
Depends on how old you are, you can be as regular as clockwork then for no reason at all miss a period, this is not uncommon and happens to quite a lot of women. the body changes all the time and just because you have missed a period does not necessarily mean you are pregnant. Some women are only on for 3 days and others go 7 or even 10 day some miss one then have a heaver one next time. It's all to do with hormones and a change in diet, or stress or even drinking can cause this so do not be to alarmed, It's all part of the changes that the body go through, If you have had sex between you last period and this it may be a phantom pregnancy and you may well be much heavier the next period so just wait it out till then it's just to early to know just yet.

I've tried to take four tests (every second day after my being late) that were all negative within the testing time. A couple of hours later, they were positive, though. I didn't get a positive result within the testing time until I was about 14 days late. So, yes I think it's possible that you're pregnant. Good luck
You very well could be pregnant and, if you are, you need to find out now so you can begin to be treated. Those are very common symptoms of pregnancy. I'm confused, though. Have you had three negative pregnancy tests or have you not tested? Your question says both. Regardless, go to your doctor and have them give you a pregnancy test. They will be more accurate anyway. There is always the possibility of pregnancy. Some over the counter medications can actually cause a false test. My first pregnancy...was late, took a test, was negative, had spotting. The following month, no spotting, took a test, and was positive. If you are having negative results with home tests, then go to your doctor and have him/her test you for pregnancy. Least then you will know one way or the other.
Hi there, i know exactly how you are feeling...and i dont have an answer either, sadly! my last period was 24th march, and ive had nothing since then...ive took three home tests (the last one last thursday) and all were neg...i know i ought to go to the drs and get it checked...but as the tests were neg I dont want to waste the drs time! in the meantime pd is still no show...ive got one more test to left so i will do that this week. i hope you get the result you want!! our bodies are weird at tmes i guess x good luck x

Birth control pills can do weird things to your hormones. They can cause your period to be late, non existent and even early. They can cause your period to last only 1-3 days or even 7-10 days. If the headaches are constant though then go speak with your doctor and tell them whats going on, she can change your prescription.
i was taking loestrin and didnt get my period the entire 6 months i was on it. i finally switched to yaz 3 months ago and have never been late. it all depends on how your body reacts! take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
If you are under a lot of stress, or worrying too much about being pregnant, etc., you could be late or even skip a month. Unfortunately, although I didn't use Yaz, I became pregnant twice while on the pill, and I took my pills religiously. They are not 100% effective.

Next time you get a headache, chew on some gum, or eat some soft food, and I bet it goes away.
My son is a "pill" baby...you might want to take a test just to be sure. I got my periods.....and found out I was pregnant. Sometimes it's just the way the baby sits in the uterus that can allow a flow to still get through.
I have gotten it at random times before even when I'm on the pill. Yasmin made me have bad headaches, mood swings, and stomach pains. I would suggest Ortho Tricyclin Low. If you are stressed out, that can also affect your period by making it not come. It can occasionally happen. If you missed a pill then had sex, however, then I would get checked out.
I'm not on YAZ but ONLY once or twice did i notice I was late, and my doc told me sometimes my body will start to get immune to the pill and it means its time to change to another kind. and if you have taken any antibiotics recently that might also be the problem.
