Does late ovulation mean late periods?

Hi. I had my last periods on 30th nov 07. I had my ovulation quite late on 17th Dec 07. which was my 18th day and not 14th day which was supposed to be the ovulation day. I still havent got my periods. its my 29th day. I waiting to test. does late ovulation mean late periods. Please comment on this.

No. You get your period when you get your period. Late ovulation just means you ovulate late in your cycle, closer to when you get your period than mid cycle, or earlier.

Very very late ovulation can prevent pregnancy, because the embryo doesn't have time to implant in your uterus and begin producing hormones that maintain the pregnancy.

Yes quite possibly. If you usually get your period 14 days after ovulation then it will generally be the same (maybe give or take a day) every month. Late ovulation means late period. Stress can also make you late (I have experienced this myself).

If you ovulate late you'll start late.

Just relax, and wait for another 5 days, if no period by then, take a test.

Yes, late ovulation mean late periods. You should get your period about 2 weeks after you ovulate. Last month I ovulated very late also, cd 23. I did not get my period until cd 37, two weeks later. I would wait another week, then test.

Yes. Your luteal phase (the number of days between ovulatoin and your period) should not vary more than a day or maybe two.

Barring a luteal phase defect, your period should come about 4 days late since you ovulated 4 days later than normal.
