My TV doesn't have Audio Out, can i still use a home theater?

I don't have a cable box, or anything like that, i just have a cable from the wall to my tv, and a dvd player, but i want the sound to always be on not just when i watch a dvd. So is there anything that i can get that i could connect the cable from the wall into with audio out that would allow me to use these speakers?

Get a stereo VCR and use it's tuner instead of the TV's. It will have the audio outputs you need.

mmmmmm Intresting. Your dvd player should have a cable/antenna in co-axel connection and out puts. Run your antenna/cable into this before connecting to your television. This then should allow you to use the dvd player as the source for your home theater. If not, then you have an older or a cheap dvd player. The work around on this is either buy another newer/more expensive television or dvd player, buy a vcr player, get a cable box or by a home theater box. I hate to drop brand names, but you could probably get one of these at Radio Shack or Fry's electronics for cheap. Circut City, Best Buy, Electronics Universe, Gadgets, or an on-line store would have something you could use to do this. I suggest getting a vcr, then you can watch video tapes as well. You can buy vcr's as little as $29.99.... Hope this helps....
you'll only be able to have a "home theater" sound from your DVD player to your a/v switcher. If you want better sound from your TV, you'll have to upgrade your cable package to include a cable box.
How about a old stereo vcr.

you can use that for your tv tuner.

but no suround sound. just two channel sound.

or you can buy a new tv.
